Frequently Asked Questions

2024Q: When are applications reviewed? And what are the deadlines for submissions?

A: Prometheus Foundation reviews applications every three months: usually in November, February, May, and August. Corresponding deadlines for submitting proposals are:

  • April 5, 2024
  • July 4, 2024
  • October 4, 2024
  • January 3, 2025

Proposals will be rejected if they are received late, if they are not submitted via our application form, or if they are not compliant with the requirements set out on this site.

Prometheus Foundation notifies applicants of awarded or declined proposals in writing and within one week of our decision.

Q: How are applications evaluated?

A: Prometheus Foundation selects grant recipients based on all available and relevant information, including application materials, financial need, and any information we have or gather about the applicant’s history, character, efforts, and achievements.

Q: May I include recommendations or references from professors, supervisors, employers, or the like with my application?

A: Yes, but these should be submitted separately—by the person providing the recommendation—and emailed directly to [email protected]
