The Prometheus Foundation is pleased to welcome Daniel T. Richards as our Executive Director. He brings with him a wealth of experience in marketing, storytelling, and business/nonprofit leadership. As co-founder of Return on Ideas, Daniel has dedicated his life to championing Objectivism and ideas that foster human flourishing through effective communication.
In his new role, Daniel will build on the accomplishments of outgoing Executive Director Craig Biddle, whose writing and lectures have inspired generations of Objectivists, including Daniel himself. Craig’s dedication has established a strong foundation, and Daniel is committed to carrying forward this legacy as the Foundation expands its influence and impact.
We look forward to Daniel’s leadership as we continue our mission to promote Objectivism and support a culture of rational thought and individual responsibility.

Daniel’s Bio:
Daniel T. Richards is an entrepreneur, rhetorician, and leading expert on how to market ideas. In 2021, he co-founded Return on Ideas, a creative studio and marketing agency serving champions of liberty, responsibility, and individual rights. He also co-founded Return on Ideas Accelerator, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to recognize and uphold excellence in communicating the ideas of liberty.
Previously, Daniel served as the Federalist Society’s Vice President of Digital, shepherding its digital marketing efforts from a beautiful idea to a juggernaut in the liberty movement. He oversaw production of more than 550 short videos, generating 40+ million views. The Society’s SCOTUSbrief series was named a 2019 finalist for “Best Content Marketing Video Series” by the Content Marketing Institute alongside entries from Forbes and East West Bank.
Daniel executive produced the feature-length documentary They Say It Can’t Be Done, chronicling the tension between entrepreneurs’ drive to solve humanity’s most pressing problems and regulation’s imperative to ensure safety. It premiered at #7 on iTunes and screened at over a dozen film festivals. He also executive produced the feature-length documentary Scalia: Portrait of a Man & Jurist which premiered as a Hulu exclusive. Currently, Daniel is producing his third feature-length documentary on the topic of Title IX—set for release in Spring 2025.
Daniel holds a Master of Arts degree in Professional Communication from Clemson University. He lives in Dallas with his wife, son, and daughter.
