It is with mixed emotions and great anticipation that I announce my decision to step down from the executive directorship of Prometheus Foundation—and pass the torch to the inimitable Daniel T. Richards.
Over the past five years, I’ve had the honor of working closely with the Foundation’s founder and donor, Carl Barney; its director of operations, Annie Vinther-Sanz; its board of directors; and the many wonderful people and organizations Prometheus has supported. It’s been deeply rewarding to collaborate on myriad projects advancing Objectivism with some of the best people I know. I feel blessed.
However, I’m eager to return to my intellectual work—writing, teaching, and speaking—and to devote more time and bandwidth to Objective Standard Institute (the nonprofit) and The Objective Standard (journal). Exciting developments are underway for both, and I’ll share details in the coming weeks.
Of course, I will not disappear! I remain on the board of Prometheus Foundation, fully engaged in advancing Objectivism, fully accessible to everyone in the Prometheus Network, and open to engagement with anyone interested in the ideas on which freedom and flourishing depend.
With Daniel Richards as the new executive director of Prometheus, the Foundation couldn’t be in better hands. Daniel earned a Master of Arts in Professional Communication from Clemson University, where I met him some fifteen years ago. Since then, he’s been a whirlwind of productiveness. Among his many roles and achievements, he served as vice president of digital at the Federalist Society, overseeing the production of more than 550 short videos that garnered over 40 million views. Later, he co-founded Return on Ideas, a creative studio and marketing agency serving champions of liberty, responsibility, and individual rights. More recently, he co-founded Return on Ideas Accelerator, a nonprofit dedicated to fostering excellence in communication within the liberty movement. He has also executive produced two feature-length documentaries and is currently producing his third.
Like I said, Prometheus couldn’t be in better hands.
