I’m excited to announce that the Prometheus Foundation will sponsor two featured conversations with bestselling author Ryan Holiday at FreedomFest 2025 in Palm Springs this June.
Ryan Holiday is one of today’s most influential voices in popularizing philosophic ideas. As the author of books like The Obstacle Is the Way and The Daily Stoic, he’s sold over 10 million copies worldwide and built a platform that reaches millions of people interested in applying ancient philosophy to modern life.
First, I’ll moderate a main stage conversation with Ryan about the art of popularizing ideas in today’s world. We’ll explore what works, what doesn’t, and why.
Next, Ryan and I will discuss the natures of and differences between Stoicism and Objectivism.
Among other things, I’ll show that Objectivism offers a comprehensive philosophical framework that can give noncontradictory grounding for Stoicism’s better aphorisms—a foundation that celebrates human achievement, reason, and the pursuit of happiness without Stoicism’s religious and deterministic elements.
By engaging with one of today’s most influential philosophical communicators, we can introduce Objectivism to people already interested in philosophical thinking and showcase the depth and relevance of Ayn Rand’s ideas in a prominent public forum.
