Craig is buying an audience for his conference with my money. Young people from around the world are being offered as much as $1,600 each for free travel, free hotels, and free food to attend LevelUp. Craig hopes to fill the conference with hundreds of people clamoring to hear him speak. Prometheus Foundation identified this scam years ago and put a stop to it.
Former conferences featured serious Objectivist speakers, such as Richard Salsman, Bradley Thompson, Eric Daniels, Alex Epstein, Andrew Bernstein, and other respected Objectivist intellectuals. Now, Craig is placing popular podcasters and political conservatives on stage (at about $50,000) that have nothing to do with Objectivism. Buying their audiences.
A real conference attracts an audience by giving value, not by buying attendance with another man’s money. Craig is faking reality on a massive scale.
LevelUp is an astroturf conference with an astroturf audience, staged for self-aggrandizement.
