Ayn Rand Center Armenia’s agenda is full of new events. Since the last time we shared their updates, Ayn Rand Center Armenia (ARCA) has finished their summer book club project and started their Hello Objectivism project. In addition, they have finished building their website, which you can find at https://arcarmenia.com/.
Ayn Rand Center Armenia’s summer book club meetings were held at various locations during the summer and fall seasons. These meetings were a wonderful opportunity for young people in Armenia to discuss Ayn Rand’s ideas through her books.
As promised, ARCA also launched their program Hello Objectivism at Yerevan State University’s Faculty of Philosophy. The idea behind this program is to introduce students with a philosophy or social sciences background to the ideas of Ayn Rand—aided by advanced trainers from within the Prometheus Network who have studied Rand’s works deeply.
In addition to ARCA, founder Gor Badalyan is running another organization in Armenia called the Breath of Liberty. Together with Ayn Rand Center, the Breath of Liberty hosted another John Galt School last December.
If you’ve never been, Armenia is an incredibly beautiful country with a lot of liberty-minded people working tirelessly to develop their country so that they and their loved ones may live better and more prosperous lives. Objectivism is a new idea for young people in Armenia, but I’m convinced that Gor and ARCA are doing an incredible job introducing the ideas of liberty, freedom, and flourishing.
Turkish people and Armenians have a troubled history that needs to be acknowledged and resolved by the new generations. I’m deeply happy and excited to see that the ideas of rationality, freedom, and happiness are flourishing on both sides of the border. As a Turkish citizen, I am incredibly humbled to be able to work together with my Armenian colleagues within the Prometheus Network to bring light into the region through the bright minds of our generation.
