Ayn Rand Center Europe is receiving large numbers of applications for their John Galt Schools:
– 252 in Georgia;
– 219 in Spain (incl. Latin American applications);
– 58 in Turkey;
– 86 in Albania;
– 82 in Bosnia & Hercegovina; and
– 70 in Romania.
The main goal of the 8-week long John Galt School program is to educate young people and active individuals, hungry for knowledge in the philosophy of Objectivism, in order to prepare them for an active role in their own lives, and in their communities.
The John Galt School curriculum includes essays from most of Ayn Rand’s nonfiction, and several excerpts from her novels, along with courses by Leonard Peikoff. Reading Atlas Shrugged and various other works is a requirement.
To apply, the students must write an essay about their thoughts on Objectivism and elaborate on why they want to learn more. Only students whose essays show the best understanding of the role of philosophy and the greatest interest in learning are selected for the John Galt School program, and they graduate only if they achieve at least 95% correct answers in all tests.
We look forward to seeing the John Galt School program expand into new territory throughout 2021.
