In 2020, Aaron Briley received funds to work with influencers of black inner-city communities to find ways to effectively inject Ayn Rand’s ideas into the culture. By conducting “interview-style” interactions with such influencers (teachers, activists, community leaders, etc.), he analyzed how best to engage individuals in the community, uncovering, among other things, what issues matter most to them, what analogies and anecdotes resonate most with them, and where they acquired their views. Toward this end, he would also attend rallies, protests, marches, and other public displays of solidarity where influencers might be found.
