Since 2012, Prometheus has funded Adam Smith Institute’s annual Ayn Rand Lecture. The Institute is run by Eamonn Butler who, in addition to being a big fan of Rand, has authored a primer on her ideas, titled Ayn Rand: An Introduction.
ASI’s first Ayn Rand Lecture was delivered by John Allison in 2012. Since then, it has been delivered by other renowned businessmen and speakers such as Lars Seier Christensen, David Sokol, Ken Moelis, Yaron Brook, Dr. Michael Kauffman, and Johan Norberg. In November, serial entrepreneur and acclaimed author Luke Johnson delivered the ninth Ayn Rand Lecture on the topic “Entrepreneurs: The Last Best Hope.” The event was held at the prestigious Drapers’ Hall in London; with more than 300 in attendance, it was standing room only.
