Irakli Iagorashvili completed the first JGS course in Georgia (the country) in 2019. On his own time and dime, he and Dato Rogava then launched Ayn Rand Center Georgia. During the pandemic, Dato and his wife built an annex to their house so that they could host Objectivism study groups and other programs, such as their weekly “RandezVous.”
Irakli is also producing weekly podcasts discussing and applying Objectivism, and running twice-monthly study groups with students at both the University of Georgia and Free University. Further, in cooperation with Prometheus Foundation’s director of operations, Irakli is engaging with the Bank of Georgia’s investment bank, fittingly called Galt & Taggart, to fund publications of more of Rand’s works in Georgian. (Galt & Taggart had already funded publications of Atlas Shrugged, We the Living, and Capitalism: The Unknown Ideal.)
